Dust, dust and more dust...........

Hello everyone, well not only is the weather very wet but we have been up to our ears in dust for nearly 3 weeks! We have had our sitting room revamped, so all the walls and ceiling have been skimmed, fireplace remodelled and new shelving made an appearance. Not a particularly easy job for the plasterer as our house is circa 1864 and the walls don't tend to be very straight! Anyway apart from waiting for a new fire and a cabinet to arrive it's all finished. I've been decluttering and it's very cathartic!
I was not able to do much crafting as I had to cover as much of my craft space as possible to protect from the dust but I did get to make a New Home card for my DiL's parents who have just moved, come and see:

I used a MB window die, cut off the bottom and turned it the other way to make a window box. The greenery is a Tattered Lace die and the trim on the blind is the top of a picket fence die. The letters have been gilded with Pebeo wax.

Nothing else to show as all the birthdays coming up are in July and August and I've not
 entered any challenges lately.
I'll leave you with a before and after of my sitting room which looked so old fashioned :

Your altering of the room looks lovely, though having the mess cannot have been good, but worth it seeing the end result.
You card looks awesome with the window and window box.

A great idea for a new home themed card, I've got this window die but I believe I've only used it for Christmas themed cards so far.
Nice home improvement, looks very fresh and modern!
I just got from a wonderful holiday, now I'll enjoy one week at home before starting work again, hoping to get lots of crafting time:)
