cr84fncolorchallenge 16

A very quick card this week for the cr84fncolorchallenge as we are off to Portsmouth to stay with my youngest son Keir and his wife Lara for a few days. They are taking me to see Anton & Erin (Strictly come dancing show). I used a square card and the backing paper was generated from CraftArtist
cut to fit the corners and inked with a violet chalk pad. The small corners were stamped in pink using a Clarity corner stamp. I added a small pink knot to each corner. I inked white ribbon with violet ink and decorated with pink pearls. The topper is a Sheena Douglass stamp cut with a nestie to stand proud of the shape. Coloured with promarkers and glazed.
Thanks for looking :)

cr84fncolorchallenge15

This weeks challenge over at cr84fncolorchallenge is using lovely spring colours

I chose to make a tri-fold card and used Anna Griffin backing paper to decorate the panels edged with gold ink.
I used faux pearls to create a flourish on the left panel and added some stamped butterflies and a dragonfly. The right panel has a stamped poppy image from Sheena Douglass stamped in Brilliance peacock and mounted on foam pads. The rose is a free stamp from craft stamper stamped 3 times and shaped into a flower. The sentiment was printed with my xyron runner onto the yellow BP that I stamped with peacock ink. The butterfly is from my stash. The lighting wasn't brilliant and doesn't show the true pastel colours.

Thanks to my sister Karen I have managed my first hyper-link!!!

CR84FN Color Challenge 14

 http://cr84fncolorchallenge.blogspot.com/2011/02/cr84fn14
This week's challenge over at CR84FN is to use the following colour palette which reminded me of cakes and chocolate!

I chose light pink textured card from Papermania to make a square card. I embossed two hearts on the front and cut out the centre and used a brown promarker around the edges. The cupcake stamps I used were free with a DoCrafts magazine and the teacup was a freebie from Craft Stamper. Thanks for looking :)

cr84fncolorchallenge

http://cr84fncolorchallenge.blogspot.com/
I hope my card qualifies this week as my photo is not showing true colours. I have taken two to try and show the colours and the 2nd one is much better! Using a white base card I distressed the edges with pink Brilliance and stamped corners on separate card and cut out and applied with foam pads for dimension. I matted and layered using handmade paper from my stash and punched a strip of patterned paper across the centre. I cut out peacock feathers from patterned vellum and arranged them in a fan and attached a brad and tassel.Pink pearls and ribbon complete the card.

CR84FN Color Challenge 11

This weeks challenge over at http://cr84fncolorchallenge.blogspot.com/ uses the following colours for inspiration.
I distressed the edges of the card with antique Linen and the first mat was silver embossed paper from my stash. The brown layer was the top layer of paper torn from corrugated card and distressed with Frayed Burlap and topped with red card that I scored and wrapped brown ribbon around. The tile is stampbord, coloured with Worn Lipstick and stamped with a Judikins image from Stamp Addicts and glazed. I used red pearls and a heart brad for decoration. The sentiment has a small strip of corrugated card instead of ribbon attached.

Thanks for looking :)

cr84fncolorchallenge

I love these colour challenges over ahttp://cr84fncolorchallenge.blogspot.com/2011/01/cr84fn10
the colours are lovely although the lighting in my craft room shows them more vivid than they are actually!
I chose to make an easel card using ivory cardstock and put the 2 side panels through my cuttlebug and used marveymatchables in Lavender to add colour. I covered the base with Anna Griffin floral paper and overstamped with Sheena Douglas flourish stamps and a freebie bird stamp from Craft Stamper with Brilliance Peacock ink. I stamped the flourish again, twice and the bird and cut them out and used them to create the stop for the easel. I also glazed the bird.
The main image is Docraft's Hydrangea stamped with lavender ink and the leaves were punched out and layered up with silicone glue. The flower I made from card stamped with Brilliance Aurora and the sentiment is from Hobby Art on a small nestie. The backing paper is also Anna Griffin and punched around the edges with a fiskars edger.

cr84fncolorchallenge

I found this challenge through a link on http://suzzstampingspot.blogspot.com/ . Suzz has some very original ideas and I really enjoy her blog.
I had some soft pink card in my stash and used Aurora brilliance ink pad and Tattered rose distress pad for the colour challenge. The flower and sentiment stamps are by Hobby Arts and I made the flower and punched the leaves. The hummingbird stamp was a souvenir from my trip to Nova Scotia last summer. We watched them every morning as they fed outside our window.
I chose a triangle fold for the base card and used a nestie for the sentiment. Thought I'd post a photo of my craft room to see if anyone else has a smaller space to work in! Mine is 7 x 3 ( feet that is! ) and I use the door as hanging space and I try not to buy too much!!
