Less is More week 144-colour challenge

Here I am nice and early with a card for two challenges this week and another card for the Christmas box.
This week's challenge over at LIM is as follows:

We have a slightly different colour challenge for you.  We want to see how our photo inspires you and see cards that have ...
Dark background with a splash of colour(s)

And over at Stamping Sensations the theme is CHRISTMAS.

It's quite unusual to have a black Christmas card but the colours do show up nicely.

Recipe:
Ribbed black card
Japanese glittered paper as a mat
SU Bird on a branch punch
Su Christmas sentiment
WOW embossing glitters
Promarkers

Just finished this post in time as my son Dom has cooked dinner and it's ready:)

Love how the bird adds color to this card. It's so elegant with the black background and the one rounded corner of the card base is a nice detail!

The black works beautifully well and yet I never would have thought of using it for a Christmas card.
That little robin is adorable.

As I hate doing it I will admit at the beginning that this is a copy and paste comment as I am unable to type properly at the moment, but didn't want to miss the opportunity to take a look at your lovely creation and thank you for joining us at Stamping Sensations challenge this month..
