Less is More week 134-recipe

Hi there to any night owls out there! I'm just about recovered from a very busy weekend with lots of visitors on Saturday and Sunday and keeping up with Charlie :) Thank goodness the weather changed, it was like the end of the world here on Saturday.
Today was the first day I've done any crafting and apologies for my lack of commenting on your blogs but I have been having the odd peek to keep up :)
So here is this week's challenge at Less is More:

For our recipe this week we want you to use or make
WASHI TAPE
You can use the shop bought type or you can make your own one way or another. We know you will be inventive if you don't have any in your stash...

I don't have any washi tape, I've looked at it but haven't seen anything I particularly like and it comes at an inflated price! So Chrissie's tutorial on how to make your own was brilliant and so simple! So here is my card with home made washi tape and a gorgeous sunflower, which the very talented Loll sent me. The sentiment is by WOW.

I will definitely be using this technique again, thanks Chrissie =D>

That has worked very well - must check out how to make washi tape - I've not seen any to buy which I particularly like either.

I prefer to make my own as you can have any width or pattern in any colour.... yours is wonderful Val and love how you used it as a background banner. Glad you had a good weekend if a little exhausting :0)

Great bit of washi tape making Val........don't know why but the word actually makes me think of a Chinese laundry!!! lol Glad the weekend was a success - Dom mentioned the awful weather on Saturday but from what he said it was as wet inside as it was out.........hehe. Glad the actual day for the BBQ dawned fair and sunny.

I was immediately attracted to your post by the thumbnail photo! I love what you've done...and how you've done it! I have MANY rolls of Washi tape---and I've used it for one card! (However, I did make 125 thank-you cards for my son and his new bride to use after their wedding....cards with a line of washi tape on each.)
