Hi everyone, I've just popped in from the garden to post my card for Less is More. What a fabulous day, I hope it's the same where ever you are!
We had a fabulous few days away and we were so lucky with the weather in Brixham, sitting out on the terrace overlooking the harbour and over to Torquay with a G&T in my hand .
We had a lovely day on Dartmoor watching the ponies and another day stopping off on the coastal path at beautiful places including Dartmouth. I'll put a couple of photos at the end if you last that long!
Friday evening was totally memorable and became my 15 mins of fame! We went to The Stables in Milton Keynes, set up by Johnnie Dankworth and Cleo Laine, to see Tenors UnLimited. Three amazing tenors singing a mix of opera and contemporary songs. Just before the interval one of them came down from the stage and started singing to me, he then took me on stage where one of the others danced with me and I ended up on his knee with the others sprawled on the stage in front!!! OMG a very sexy experience
Anyway I'm just about over that and enjoying being back crafting! So this week Chrissie and Jen, along with Hannelie, who is GD this month have set the following challenge:
I knew straight away what I was going to do as I had a set of stamps that I bought a couple of years ago that had never seen ink, so NBUS according to Darnell!
Come and see:

As an acknowledgement of Hannelie's location and blog name, the challenge we have chosen for this week is
SAND
You may decide to use the colour, the texture, scenes of sandy places, sandpaper, actual sand... or wherever your imagination takes you.
I knew straight away what I was going to do as I had a set of stamps that I bought a couple of years ago that had never seen ink, so NBUS according to Darnell!
Come and see:
Fairly obvious how I did it and the stamp set is from Papermania .
Apologies for the length of this post and I hope you are still with me! Thanks for taking the time to visit and hopefully leaving a comment so that I can visit you.

Stayed with you to the end - thanks for sharing tales of your holiday and the lovely photos. So pleased the weather was good for you in Devon.
You've been visiting all my favourite places this week Val! I love your Devon pics - there is no place more beautiful on earth in good weather! Glad you had a good time. And what fun you had at the Stables (just up the road from us) being serenaded like that! Hope you've come back down to earth now! Love your card with that beautiful sky and the golden sands. The flip flops are the perfect embellishment too. Roll on the holidays I say! Vicky x

You have been busy, not only appearing on stage, taking fabulous scenic photos and finding time to write abut it on your blog, you have also created a stunning card. Love the dunes in the background.

Your card also made me think of holidays too. I love flip flops and that is a gorgeous stamp and a beautiful card! I can almost smell the sun cream ; )
Such a fabulous beach card, Val! Love your scene through the window.
Thanks for sharing your photo's. We have so many beautiful places in the UK. And when the weather's good, there's no place like the south of England to enjoy a picturesque holiday.
Sorry I've been missing from Blogland for so long, we have had a lot going on recently, and I just haven't found the time to create, or blog. Hope you and your family are all well xx
Well, Val, you certainly wouldn't get any comments from me about the LENGTH of your post, LOL! I enjoyed every minute of it and I'm so happy you guys had a brilliant weekend! Your description of your 15-minutes of fame was so well written that I was right there in the audience, cheering you on!
Your card for this week's LIM is perfect. Period. Just perfect. I have some little NBUS (thanks for the shoutout, BTW!!) sandals, too, and I will use your card idea for another challenge, another day. Thank you for the inspiration!
Finally, what spectacular photos!! Did you take those? Whoever took them has an enormous talent and natural photographic ability! Each one, as a print, would sell out in a minute, IMHO. I hope, at least, that you make copies of them into photo cards!!
Lovely card & I love the horse pics!
