Friendship

Hi everyone from a very snowy London town! Looks beautiful but makes getting around pretty difficult. Still I've no plans for the weekend except to try and get rid of all the dust and dirt that has come from the kitchen refit and do some crafting:)
It's my best friend's birthday tomorrow and the card I made is appropriate for the challenge over at
Sir Stampalot. The theme is FRIENDSHIP and this is what I came up with:

 Recipe:
Black ribbed card stock
SU Crumb Cake and Baja Breeze ink
SU Everything Eleanor stamps
Just Rite matching stamp and die,
I ghost stamped the sentiment which makes it look a bit blurred in this photo but it says True Friend.
Black ribbon
Liquid pearls

I was inspired by a fabulous card on Sylvia's blog and cased it for a birthday card for another friend on Sunday. This fits in with the MMM theme of Diecuts and punches so I am entering my second card this week for their challenge:)

Recipe:
Aperture cut in base card with Labels 18
Frame cut with same die and attached with foam pads
CI stamp
Black Memento ink
Victorian Velvet DI
Memory Box poppy
WOW sentiment
Pink pearls

Thanks for taking the time to visit and hopefully leaving a comment:) Stay safe and warm

Two beautiful cards Val - love the colours and layering on the first one, and the soft pink on the aperture card looks fabulous with the black and white.
Thank you so much for the shout-out - I'm thrilled to know that my card inspired you.
Have a happy weekend - hope the snow doesn't cause too many problems where you are. Hugs, Sylvia xx

Two lucky friends to be receiving these cards. Love the effect of the layers on the first one and the die cutting on the second one is great with that image in the frame matching so well with the MB poppy die.

What gorgeous cards Val - I love the colours you've used on the top one and doesn't that set work beautifully layered like that! I really like the aperture on the second with the die cuts embellishing the front. You sound fed up with ping meals so I hope you get on well with the slow cooker - I love mine! Vicky x

Oh my Valerie both are stunning, love the bold design on the first with the great layering but simply adore the second with the gorgeous stamping and the diecuts. Beautiful work as always.

Wow! I love both of these! Gorgeous soft colours on the first one, and the black really helps to define them. The aperture on the second is lovely, very effective. Thank you for sharing them with us at Stamping Sensations, and good luck.
