Well it's a horrible day here today but I do have good news! Firstly I was showcased this week, so exciting, and this morning I found out that I was a winner over at Crafty Cardmakers and I've won a voucher for the Stamp Man:)
I must be on a winning streak as I won £510 at our pub quiz last week!!!
Anyway back to this week's LIM challenge and it's great to see that Chrissie has a helper in the guise of Jen whilst Mandi is busy with her new shop. It's a one layer card week and the theme is HOUSES. Lot's of ideas on the blog especially if you think outside the box! My initial idea I loved but worried that it didn't qualify but I'm sure Chrissie or Jen will let me know:)
It's a Memory box die and I made two cards using the positive and negative die cuts, the sentiment is a freebie and I have shadow stamped it with SU Basic Grey and Stazon white ink. The die cuts just fit together like a jigsaw, very easy and effective.
I stamped with versamark and embossed in black then dusted some colour to create the sky and tree. I added some glitter and dots of red sakura pen on to the tree. I hand wrote the sentiment.
Finally I used a set of Christmas stamps from Jenny Mayes to create a scene using SU Basic Grey ink , promarkers and a touch of glitter.
I feel I'm competing with Susan this week but I was on a mission to create more Christmas cards:)
Thanks for staying with me on this rather long posting I should have suggested you make a cup of tea! Hope you leave a comment so that I can visit you:)

This next card I stamped with the Crafty Individual stamp that I got as a gift for being published in Craft Stamper.

If you're lucky Val, everything'll come in fours - go and buy that lottery ticket! So pleased to see you show-cased this week and congratulations on your wins too. This selection of cards are absolutely gorgeous! I love the colour combination on the bottom one, the fitting together dies idea is superb, and what an amazing background on the middle one. Vicky x
OMG! You're on a roll girl...four fabulous cards, and three fantastic wins!! I love all your house cards, and although hard to choose, (as they are all fabulous!!), your third one is my favourite. I hope your luck continues, Val:) x
You are in the money! well done. I used the same die for my card, love the effect you've achieved. The second stamp I saw earlier for the first time and now I see it again - really lovely card you made with it and the colour looks good. I really like the last one - so tempted to get that stamp set now!

Crikey, I was thinking that we'd got another 'Susan' posting here Val. They are all super, I love how the die-cuts fit together... I guess it's still one layer albeit a joined one!
Congrats on all your wins, you really are on a winning streak, it's a pity a little didn't rub off on me at Gunwharf!
Thanks so much
