Less is More Week 17 Recipe - Pick a Square

This week's challenge over at Less is More seems to have energised all the Lim's as the entries are coming in thick and fast! The challenge is to pick a square from a square grid and place your image in it. I decided to go for a corner placement and used a digi image from create with TLC. Paulette has some beautiful vintage images and shares lots of freebies so please pop over and have a browse.
I printed it onto white card with a dark red band of colour behind the side border.I decoupaged a red flower in the corner and the sentiment I printed in red and mounted on foam pads. I added some red glitter using a quickie glue pen.
I decided to make another card as I had a topper that was hanging around my work space that I painted before my holiday. It was a landscape stamp (can't remember where from) which I coloured and framed with a nestie and mounted centrally on a square linen card. The only place that looked right for the sentiment was the bottom right hand corner which I hope will be ok with Mandi and Chrissie:)
Thanks for looking:)

Really super cards - the anniversary card is very elegant. But my favourite is the escape card the image is beautifully painted and the frame just gorgeous - and while it's not quite the brief - it's perfect!!

These are great Val and so very different. I would have like to have seen the sentiment on the second one slightly closer to the image... so that we could have pretended they were in the same square!!!!
Super submissions!
Thanks so much
