Less is more Off centre Challenge

A little less scary this week with the LIM challenge! The theme is "off centre" and as usual there are some amazing entries and some were so early they must set their alarms for Saturday mornings :)
I decided on an oriental theme and chose to emboss some lanterns and Chinese words in gold. I wanted to add a little colour and used cosmic shimmer on the lanterns which shows up well on the black base card. I finished with   2 blue gems on the tassels.
Thanks for looking :)

i think this is fab! The only thing I would have changed, would have just been to add one of the Chinese characters to the card. But, that's just me, your card is still beautiful

Val this is uber striking!
I really love the boldness of design and the colour is fabulous!
If I were to give any form of critique it would be that for me it would have been visually more pleasing if the Chinese letters plus their translations had all been on one level instead of one being just slightly higher than the other two... but that's just being super-critical!
It's really lovely!

This is gorgeous and fab embossing on dark card, I usually get stray embossing powder where it's not wanted even after using an anti static bag!!

Lovely and your idea of going with a touch of blue instead of the more common red works so very well
