Love my new stamps from Stamp Addicts and made a card using the music set. There are Da Vinci drawings, Klimt ladies and lots of vintage images. Will be using these a lot as they are suitable for all occasions and make great masterboards. I used antique Linen, Frayed Burlap and mocha brown inks.

cr84fncolorchallenge
http://cr84fncolorchallenge.blogspot.com/
I hope my card qualifies this week as my photo is not showing true colours. I have taken two to try and show the colours and the 2nd one is much better! Using a white base card I distressed the edges with pink Brilliance and stamped corners on separate card and cut out and applied with foam pads for dimension. I matted and layered using handmade paper from my stash and punched a strip of patterned paper across the centre. I cut out peacock feathers from patterned vellum and arranged them in a fan and attached a brad and tassel.Pink pearls and ribbon complete the card.

Winter birthday
Die Cut Dreams are celebrating their 1st Birthday and the challenge is to create a winter birthday card with snow or snowflakes. I chose a vintage stamp by La Blanche, stamped with black Brilliance, cut around the image and coloured it with promarkers.
I took a piece of glossy card and using masks to create clouds I sponged with shades of blue and lavender. Using a Jenny Mayes tree stamp I made the background. I cut up some white felt and layered pieces to simulate snow and edged them with Frosted Lace stickles. I matted and layered onto silver mirri, red pearlised card and a square white blank base card. The snowman image was then attached to the background with foam pads. The punch was Martha Stewart backed with silver mirri and finished with gems. The sentiment was in my stash and I put grey ribbon with a handmade embellishment hanging from it. http://dcdchristmasclub.blogspot.com/

Ribbon and gems finished it off, thanks for looking :)

Christmas Cracker
The challenge this week over at Bah Humbug is Christmas Cracker. Using paper from Artilicious I folded a DL card and cut notches to create a cracker. I distressed a nestie shape and stamped some holly leaves in gold and smudged with Spanish Olive. The gold cord and beads are recycled from Christmas!!

CR84FN Color Challenge 11
This weeks challenge over at http://cr84fncolorchallenge.blogspot.com/ uses the following colours for inspiration.
I distressed the edges of the card with antique Linen and the first mat was silver embossed paper from my stash. The brown layer was the top layer of paper torn from corrugated card and distressed with Frayed Burlap and topped with red card that I scored and wrapped brown ribbon around. The tile is stampbord, coloured with Worn Lipstick and stamped with a Judikins image from Stamp Addicts and glazed. I used red pearls and a heart brad for decoration. The sentiment has a small strip of corrugated card instead of ribbon attached.

New Stamps
Received a lovely set of stamps this morning from Stamp Addicts that Sarah and Vicky were demoing last week on Create and Craft. They are Da Vinci, Popourri and Vintage and have some great images on them.
So had to create something with them and the result is below.
I covered the card base with the crackle stamp in gold and used the marble stamp with Peacock Brilliance on the band across the middle. The ruined arch I coloured with promarkers and distressed the edges with Frayed Burlap which I then matted and layered onto card that I stamped with the script in Sepia Archival ink and distressed with Antique Linen. I stamped the butterfly with Peacock Brilliance and attached a pearl. The sentiment is a Jenny Mayes one stamped in Peacock and distressed with antique Linen. I'm entering this for the Stampman challenge as it's all about
Distressing!

Die Cut Dreams
This was a bit of a last minute make! I used a square base card and matted and layered freebie paper onto green mirri card and attached matching paper ribbon across the front. The topper was decoupaged and the snowdrops highlighted with glossy accents. The circles were punched out, stuck together and attached with a brad. The sentiment is a peeloff and I punched the mirri to make it look like holly. Hope this fills the brief :)

cr84fncolorchallenge
the colours are lovely although the lighting in my craft room shows them more vivid than they are actually!
I chose to make an easel card using ivory cardstock and put the 2 side panels through my cuttlebug and used marveymatchables in Lavender to add colour. I covered the base with Anna Griffin floral paper and overstamped with Sheena Douglas flourish stamps and a freebie bird stamp from Craft Stamper with Brilliance Peacock ink. I stamped the flourish again, twice and the bird and cut them out and used them to create the stop for the easel. I also glazed the bird.
The main image is Docraft's Hydrangea stamped with lavender ink and the leaves were punched out and layered up with silicone glue. The flower I made from card stamped with Brilliance Aurora and the sentiment is from Hobby Art on a small nestie. The backing paper is also Anna Griffin and punched around the edges with a fiskars edger.

Holly and Fairies
My 2nd Christmas card of 2011 is for Hazel's recycled card challenge http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge.blogspot.com/2011/01/chnc-challenge-2-freebie-or-recycled.html and Bah! Humbug!
http://bah-humbug-christmas.blogspot.com/2011/01/challenge-1-holly-fairies-and-touch-of.html
I stamped and embossed a card base with holly from a Judikins cube stamp and wrapped a piece of ribbon saved from a present around the card. The topper is off a Christmas card from last year and mounted on mirri. The holly and berries are from my friends Christmas crackers that she saved for me.

http://inkurablestampers.blogspot.com/2011/01/theme-for-january-2011-is.html Caught this challenge on facebook and thought it would be a nice change from Christmas cards! The theme was "golden birthdays" which having a birthday on the 2nd December meant I had missed it by 61 years!!!!!
I used a square base card and stamped and gold embossed daisies at an angle along the card edge and cut round them so that I could place a strip of gold mirri card behind. The stamp was Carole's cube by Judikins. I stamped and embossed two more daisies and layered them up with a gold heart brad. The tag was double embossed with gold metal magic and the sentiment from Hobby Art debossed into it. I put yellow gems in the centre of the daisies and around the card. Finally I gold embossed a hummingbird stamp by Rubber Stampede that I bought last summer on holiday in Nova Scotia as a souvenir and attached it with foam pads.

1st Christmas card of 2011
Hazel's challenge was to make a Christmas card before we put our stash away and as my craft room is so small I am never too far from a stamp for any season!
http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge.blogspot.com/
I used my nesties to make a frame and used the shape left over as a stencil and coloured the card with Shabby shutters distress ink. Using a Hobby art stamp and versamark Spanish Olive I stamped the tree several times masking as I went. I overstamped the frame for continuation and then then put the frame on raising it up slightly. I matted with gold mirri and layered onto a square base card. The sentiment is a peeloff.

cr84fncolorchallenge
I found this challenge through a link on http://suzzstampingspot.blogspot.com/ . Suzz has some very original ideas and I really enjoy her blog.
I had some soft pink card in my stash and used Aurora brilliance ink pad and Tattered rose distress pad for the colour challenge. The flower and sentiment stamps are by Hobby Arts and I made the flower and punched the leaves. The hummingbird stamp was a souvenir from my trip to Nova Scotia last summer. We watched them every morning as they fed outside our window.
I chose a triangle fold for the base card and used a nestie for the sentiment. Thought I'd post a photo of my craft room to see if anyone else has a smaller space to work in! Mine is 7 x 3 ( feet that is! ) and I use the door as hanging space and I try not to buy too much!!

Waltzingmouse Sketch challenge #28
http://waltzingmousesketchchallenge.blogspot.com/My first post of the new year is a card I've made for the waltzingmouse sketch challenge. I liked the envelope shape and used some Anna Griffin paper for the base card and the rest was stamped and finished with embossed cardboard cut outs. The sentiment was free with Craft Stamper.
Happy New year to everyone :)
