Isn't she lovely, Isn't she wonderful, Isn't she precious, Less than one week old.............

Hi everyone and apologies to Stevie Wonder for changing the lyrics! Phoebe is gorgeous!! She's so dinky and although she weighed 1oz more than Charlie she is so petite with a cute little head and lovely dark hair.

Lots of cuddles and a lovely time at the wedding on Friday where everyone wanted to have a photo with her :o)

This is the card I made for Keir and Lara and is inspired by Monia who makes gorgeous cards:

Yesterday we took Charlie to an open day at Southsea Fire station which was a big hit! Lots of engines to sit in as well as police cars and ambulances. Firemen absailing up and down the tower rescuing people, great fun.

Very serious being a policeman!!

Cheesy grins at lunch, it's catching!

Lovely day here today but I had to have the heating on when we got back last night! Definitely autumnal.

Still waiting........

Hi everyone on this very soggy bank holiday monday! We usually have a full house this weekend as we have a bbq for my eldest son, Dom's birthday but Lara obviously didn't want to be so far from home and we are on standby for the baby :o)
My craft room is finished at last and it's very organised although it will take a while for me to automatically reach for a particular tool or stamp! I'm determined to keep the floor clear and have had a good clearout! It's amazing the things you find hidden away, come and see my new room:

7' x 3' sloping under front steps, used to be the coal hole!

Hope to keep it tidy!

Very useful peg board storage

You may have caught a glimpse of Dom's birthday card on my desk and here it is:

An embossed background from Tim Holtz with silver gilding wax to highlight. Some silver card and a piece of dp to make a book and a stamped pen fussy cut and gilded too. The other card lying flat is waiting for some liquid pearls to dry so maybe next time although that was the first card that I made today in my new room!

Special birthday.....

Hi there just popping in to show a card I've made for this weeks LIM challenge. I haven't participated for some time but this week is special!

Morning all, we've a Celebration challenge
for you this week as our super talented Leader and
Queen of CAS, Chrissie is celebrating a very
special birthday this weekend! She'll be 70 years young!

It's Recipe week and we'd like you to use Snippets
on your card yet still maintaining the CAS look!

No problem finding snippits it's trying to use them all up! I have also treated myself to a Cut n Boss machine, what a treat not having to crank the handle and it cuts perfectly. I still love my cuttlebug but am going to get rid of my Grand Calibur which I have never liked! Anyway I digress, so here is the card I made for Chrissie:

The memory box tree was in my snippets bag, already cut and I used some left over pink card to cut some butterflies from the SU embosslits die and the happy birthday sentiment which I shadowed behind some centura pearl snippets. I finished off with some cosmic shimmer pearl drops.

I am still crafting in the dining room but progress is being made as all the insulation has now been cut and fitted as well as a new floor. The main ceiling panel is in and I am begining to see light at the end of the tunnel! I will be getting rid of some of my crafting stash that hasn't see the light of day for years and looking around I can't believe it all came out of such a small space.

Hope the weather is improving I nearly put the heating on last night!!!

Back with a vengeance......

Hi everyone, well it's been nearly a month since I last blogged but we've been on a couple of "jollies"!
We had 3 lovely days with Charlie and Co in the IOW which included things mainly to do with transport!! The steam train journeys were a delight and we had a fabulous day at Robin Hill country park where there was a tractor train and lots of large wooden diggers etc to play on.

We were back a few days and then we headed off to Brixham to stay with some old friends which was slightly more restful than the IOW but definitely more alcoholic!!! Lovely weather, fab food and too much wine!
Lunch overlooking Brixham harbour and a visit to Sharpham Vineyard

 Catching up with old friends.
Back to crafting and this is a frame that I made for my friends daughter Maya. I couldn't get a good pic because of the reflection. I created the centre in craft artist and decoupaged the flowers and added a couple of flourishes. The elephants are a tattered lace die.

I have 2 friends with birthdays this week and here they are:

I've had 2 more commisions for pop up box cards one obviously for a lady and the other for a 13 year old boy mad on guitars and rock bands!

Finally Charlie is moving into a new bedroom and has requested signs for his wall including one of our local buses! I think more may be in the pipeline :0)

I hope to make a card for Less is More this week as it's Chrissie's birthday and I will be back with a wedding card and more birthday cards.

Hello........

Hi everyone, sorry to have been missing for a while but it's been a bit busy and then there was CRETE!!! Lovely restful holiday in a beautiful villa with good food, wine and a fabulous view!

I have been crafting since I got back as July and August are very busy birthday wise! Too add to it my DH has decided to insulate my craft room and re configure it.It is basically the cupboard under our front steps (victorian town house ) and can be cold in the winter and hot in the summer. The amount of craft stuff that came out of a space 7' x 3' is amazing.I am now crafting on the end of my dining table and we have utilised old bookcases that we were chucking out to hold some of the stuff!

oh dear!

behind sitting room door!

Dining room/ craft room stuffed to the gills!

                                                      Back to my latest cards:

This is for my friends daughter who has just given birth to baby Maya

We had a great college reunion on Saturday to celebrate the retirement of the most amazing reprographics man, Eddie. It was great to see so many old friends and colleagues from the last 25 years! I made this card in craft artist using a photo of Eddie and added a little decoupage.

Another craft artist card for a betting man!

Another male card using SU Wetlands stamp and SU Hardwood stamp

Finally a flower pot card for my friend Angela in Brixham with whom we are going to stay in a couple of weeks

Once again sorry for my lack of commenting, we are off to Portsmouth and the IOW with Charlie and co tomorrow and hope this lovely weather continues!
