Dust, dust and more dust...........

Hello everyone, well not only is the weather very wet but we have been up to our ears in dust for nearly 3 weeks! We have had our sitting room revamped, so all the walls and ceiling have been skimmed, fireplace remodelled and new shelving made an appearance. Not a particularly easy job for the plasterer as our house is circa 1864 and the walls don't tend to be very straight! Anyway apart from waiting for a new fire and a cabinet to arrive it's all finished. I've been decluttering and it's very cathartic!
I was not able to do much crafting as I had to cover as much of my craft space as possible to protect from the dust but I did get to make a New Home card for my DiL's parents who have just moved, come and see:

I used a MB window die, cut off the bottom and turned it the other way to make a window box. The greenery is a Tattered Lace die and the trim on the blind is the top of a picket fence die. The letters have been gilded with Pebeo wax.

Nothing else to show as all the birthdays coming up are in July and August and I've not
 entered any challenges lately.
I'll leave you with a before and after of my sitting room which looked so old fashioned :

Hello..........

Hi everyone, wow it's been a month today since I last blogged, where do the weeks go?! Having said that we did have a fantastic week on the IOW with the family. The weather was great except for one day and we had a fab house with a wonderful garden for Charlie.

We have got the builders/decorators in this week completely gutting my sitting room and everywhere else is like being part of one of those hoarders programmes with boxes surrounding us! As a consequence I can't access my craft room as it's off the sitting room and I'm bored!!!!!! I've had to resort to digital crafting which isn't as satisfying.

Anyway I have a couple of cards to show you:

For my great nephew I tried to recreate an iPhone!!

!st attempt at a 3D pram!

Finally an anniversary card for Keir and Lara. I diecut into the card and then diecut again in pink and green and inserted the pieces back in and glossed them. What a palaver! Looked nice in the end :o)

I'm going to try and catch up on all your blogs now, I certainly don't have an excuse not to! The weather is awful too :0(
