Now this is what I call nice summer weather
Yesterday afternoon I was totally engrossed in my book and gently swinging on my garden sofa and when I got up I felt rather sick!! I think it was a bit like reading in the car, a no no for me so I had to go and lie down !
Although my craft room is tiny I have a fan and it's nice and cool so I had a New Home card to make for a friend who moved on Friday. I was inspired by a card I saw on SC and wanted to use my new lattice die, come and see what I made:

If you check out the tutorial I loved the card but I only have a cuttlebug and no dies big enough to create the same effect unless I made a tiny card! So I cut and embossed a strip of card with the Britannia lattice die and glued them each side and then cut around the shape. The topper is a Beaded oval and MB poppy. The vine is MB Honeysuckle and I used DI Bundled Sage and Victorian Velvet.
I am entering this into A Gem of a Challenge which is Anything but a Square
Thanks for taking the time to visit, it's much appreciated

Wow Val - what a stunning card. LOVE the shape and the combination of diecuts, and the delicate colouring is perfection. Totally FAB-U-LUS!
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better Val - hugs, Sylvia xx

beautiful card, val... the colors are so soft and pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love the shape of your card, Val. Fabulous dies, too! Love how you coloured your poppies and your soft blending...Gorgeous card! x
ReplyDeleteReally pretty and clever bit of improvisation with the die cuts. Hope you've recovered from your 'motion sickness' - I was 'seasick' once in the cinema watching a documentary with rough seas!! Had to leave quickly.
ReplyDeleteLovely card Val - this die is one of my all time favourites and I'll be posting a card I'm doing at the moment (which is also a new home card.......weird or what?). Like that you've thought outside the box. Sounds just like being seasick - I get the same if I try to read in the car........just can't.
