Less is More week 75 Lucky dip

Afternoon from a sunny Enfield and some great tennis! Gosh I'm really late with the LIM challenge but nothing came to mind at all although each of the elements of the header were things I liked! Anyway the challenge was to create a card using the LIM header as inspiration and this is it:

I tried lots of ideas and they all ended up being too fussy and it's fatal to look at everyone else's cards as you end up plagiarising someone's creation! Trouble was I was trying to use all the elements in the header and I don't think that was the idea:)

Eventually I was playing around with Craft Artist and this is my final attempt. I was quite pleased with it although the background looks a bit yellow in the photo and it's definitely more kraft like IRL!

I printed out the ornate frame, cut out the centre, fussy cut it ,added a few pearls and popped it up with silicone glue.

Thanks for taking the time to visit and I love to read any comments you may leave:)

Super card, Val. Great craft artist work, love your label and fussy cutting.
Foul weather here again, torrential rain and local floods. Hope it's better for you. Enjoy a lovely weekend xx

  2. An elegant interpretation of the logo - love it. Your weather sounds better than ours - thunder storm and torrential rain soon after lunch and steady rain ever since.

  3. Great card Val - love the fussy cutting, really works well and you have plenty of white space which will go down well!! Can't believe you've got sun......it's wet here! We've had so much rain since Sunday that my runners have trebled in size...... now all we need is some sun but don't think that's likely. We were going to the Dorset Seafood Festival in Weymouth tomorrow but..........soggy prawns anyone?

  8. I agree about looking at everyone else's cards... I have to stop myself looking or all I can think about is x, y and z's amazing ideas! I really like how you've framed the sentiment in that beautiful ornate design. It looks lovely against the kraft block of colour. Happy weekend!
