Less is More Week 17 Recipe - Pick a Square no3

Entry no 3 for Less is More! Inspiration struck when I came across the seashell freebie stamp from Craft Stamper although your feedback may tell me not so!!
I brayered a square piece of white card to resemble sand, sea and sky and stamped the image in black. I matted onto silver mirri and positioned the topper centrally on to a square linen card. I added a pearl to the shell.
Thanks for looking :)

Less is More Week 17 Recipe - Pick a Square

This week's challenge over at Less is More seems to have energised all the Lim's as the entries are coming in thick and fast! The challenge is to pick a square from a square grid and place your image in it. I decided to go for a corner placement and used a digi image from create with TLC. Paulette has some beautiful vintage images and shares lots of freebies so please pop over and have a browse.
I printed it onto white card with a dark red band of colour behind the side border.I decoupaged a red flower in the corner and the sentiment I printed in red and mounted on foam pads. I added some red glitter using a quickie glue pen.
I decided to make another card as I had a topper that was hanging around my work space that I painted before my holiday. It was a landscape stamp (can't remember where from) which I coloured and framed with a nestie and mounted centrally on a square linen card. The only place that looked right for the sentiment was the bottom right hand corner which I hope will be ok with Mandi and Chrissie:)

CBGM challenge Flowers, colour pink & green and sketch

Gill's challenge this week is  all the things I love, pink, green and flowers! I won some candy a while back from Jacki and there were some lovely vintage papers in it so I have used one as the BP. The lovely wide pink lace was also part of my win and I used my daisy MS punch on some coordinating card to make a ribbon across the centre. I cut out two shapes with a nestie , one on Anna Griffin paper and the other on ivory card. The flower is made from punched shapes again, on AG paper and attached with a pink material brad. The pink flowers are from Mei and the sentiment is a freebie digital stamp from Netty's.
Thanks for looking and good luck with the challenge :)

Less is More butterflies

Having missed two weeks challenges owing to being on holiday (not that I had to think twice about that!) I've managed to cobble together an entry for this weeks LIM challenge. I was able to access the LIM blog on my Kindle and congratulations to everyone, there were some gorgeous entries!
I have used a Creative Expressions stamp that I picked up at Ally Pally for £3.50, which I thought was a bargain for a large wooden stamp. I stamped with Stormy Sky distress ink and added some glitter. The sentiment was a free digi but I can't remember where from. I matted onto pale blue card with vintage ribbon behind and a couple of gems. The glitter trail covers a dirty mark!!
Thanks for looking:)

CBGM challenge Buttons, colour pink & lilac and sketch

Hi everyone this is my very first posting as  a member of Gill's design team.  I'm so excited and hope you like my submissions!
Unfortunately (not for me!) I am in South of France as we speak and with no access to the internet so apologies for not commenting on your entries but I will make up for it on the next challenge!

The BP I used is from a DCWV wedding stack and the ribbon came off a box of chocolates that are long gone:)) The stamp is one I love and was featured a couple of years ago in Craft Stamper  but I can't remember who it's by. I stamped in black Brilliance and again onto some Anna Griffin paper and then paper pieced the dress. I did the same for the hat using textured pink paper and adding a lilac bow. I think she is definitely a pearl girl hence the necklace and earrings :) I inked a doily with lilac chalk ink and added it on top of the ribbon.  I matted and layered the image onto black and pink card and used foam pads to lift it slightly. The swirl is a Marianne die and the rose I cut from the Anna Griffin paper and decoupaged it and attached it with silicone glue to the corner. The buttons are from my button jar.
Thanks for looking and good luck with the challenge :)

Less is more Week 14 White on White

Well here I am, definitely earlier than last week, when I made my card just before going to the theatre and 3 hours before the deadline. When I got back and saw I had 2 comments I thought it was Lady and Diva Lim but it was 2 of my lovely followers and there was no chance of any more because I forgot to link it to the Lim blog. Here's hoping I remember this week!!!
Well the challenge is White on White and the entries are beautiful!
I chose a white card, obviously, and decided to make an envelope card. I embossed the flap and attached it to the tent card which I had embossed with dots in the cuttlebug. I made a large flower from some diecuts that Jacki had given me and glittered them and added a pearl brad in the centre.I added a ribbon across the top and some pearls and cut out some letters in my cuttlebug and attached them under the knot.
I hardly commented on anyone's cards last week for which I apologise and we are off to the South of France on Wednesday for 2 weeks so this is my last posting for a while. We have internet access but I am not packing any crafty bits! It will just be me, a book, a glass of wine and the POOL! Oh and my OH :)

Less is more Week 13 Lucky Dip Thank you or Congratulations

OMG only a couple of hours to go and I'd forgotten to make a card for this weeks LIM challenge! We had a long weekend away in Somerset staying with my sister and then the week has just disappeared and we are off to London to the theatre in half an hour! That's retiree's for you :) I was desperately lacking inspiration and have ended up with a card that is ok but nothing to ooh and aah over :(
It's a square base card with a band of pearlised butterfly paper down the side. The stamp is from La Blanche inked in brilliance and with a little bit of glitter and matted on silver mirri. A peeloff sentiment and decoration and pearls along the punched edge.
Sorry for my lack of comments this week and we're off to the South of France for a fortnight so it will be a while before I appear again :)
Thanks for looking.:)

Somerset sojourn!

Just back from a very nice visit to Somerset, visiting my sister as it was her birthday weekend. I decided to make a tea light card but substituted the tea lights with pots of glitter as she is also a crafter. I covered the base card with some lovely papers that were part of blog candy that I was lucky enough to win from Jacki and distressed the edges with Black Soot and the front edge was punched with an MS punch. Inside I made a pocket to hold the greeting tag and on the right I made a box with an acetate aperture for the pots of glitter. I used ribbon as decoration and on the front I printed out a Debbi Moore image from the Paris cd and gemmed and glittered it, mounted onto black mat and a Marianne flourish.
Front of card sitting in box.
Pink pearls accentuate the daisy edge and the acetate window on the box has a butterfly stamped and glittered on it.
Thanks for looking ;)

Pocket and tag on left and box holding glitter pots on right.
Tag (apologies for poor photo)
Box for the tea light card.
